Edna V. Yoder, 87, Oley, died Oct. 7, 2007, at 12:39 a.m. in Reading Hospital, where she had been a patient since Oct. 2.
She was the wife of Walter S. Yoder. They were to celebrate 70 years of marriage on Jan. 8, 2008.
Born in Colebrookdale Township, she was a daughter of the late Abraham and Luella (Hafer) Dierolf.
She was employed as a cable assembler by East Penn Manufacturing Co., Lyons, for 24 years, retiring in 1972.
She was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Oley.
She was active in the Oley and Pricetown senior citizens groups.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Richard A., husband of Nancy Yoder, Oley.
Other survivors include a sister, Alma Hill, Wyomissing.
There are also six grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Gerald H. Yoder, on May 20, 2007; and a brother, George Dierolf.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in Friedens Lutheran Church, 1076 Memorial Highway, Oley. Burial will be in Friedens Cemetery, Oley. Friends may call Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Blankenbiller Funeral Home, 423 Main St., Oley, and on Thursday 1 to 2 p.m. in the church.
