The funeral of Esther Leah Dick took place from the residence of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eli D. Dick, 1120 Franklin. Rev. H. H. Ranck conducted services. The remains lay in a white cloth-covered casket, with silver trimmings and plate, and were attired in a white dress. The tributes included a wreath of natural flowers, from grandmother; pillow of roses and smilax, bearing the inscription "Our Loved One," in blue immortelles, family; spray of pink carnations, uncle Charles and a friend; spray of roses and tulips, aunt Annie; spray of white carnations, aunt Mary, spray of pink carnations, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dick; bouquet of cream roses, aunt Susan; spray of white roses, cousin Annie; spray of pink carnations, cousin Emma DeLong; spray of roses and tulips, cousin Sallie Boris, star of white roses of pedestal, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Williamson; cluster of Easter lilies, Mrs. and Mrs. L. Winters; spray of pink carnations, Lillie and Edith Winters; spray of pink carnations, Sunday school teacher, Mrs. L. Wagenhorst; spray of pink carnations, Mary Hartman; bouquet, friend Emily Bowers, spray of La France roses, friend, Ruth Schaeffer; spray of white roses and pink carnations, Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Kreidler. Interment in Schwarzwald Church.

Esther L., the four-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Dick, died of diphtheria at the residence of the parents, 1120 Franklin, after an illness of two days. Besides the parents, there survive a brother, George, and a sister, Mary Dick. She was a member of the class of Mrs. Wagonhurst in St. Andrew's Reformed Sunday school.
