REBER WILBER "BILL" CARL Born in Petoskey, Michigan; husband of the late Elizabeth Acheson. Father of Stephen (Kathy), Elizabeth "Betsy" (Robert) Adams, Kevin (Barb), Jason (the late Linda); eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is survived by his brother, Wayne, and sister, Iris. He was preceded in death by his parents Doan L. and Anna Lange Reber. He began his career with Michigan Bell Telephone before entering the Army Air Corp where he served our country in WWII. He reached rank of Seargent while being stationed in Attlebridge, England in the 8th Airforce as a flight instructor. After the war he returned to Michigan Bell Telephone where he worked in Traverse City, Cheboygan, Petoskey, Saginaw, and finally reached title of District Plant Manager in Livonia, Michigan. He resided in Farmington Hills, Michigan before retiring in 1977. He then moved to Franklin, North Carolina where he built his own home on top of a mountain. There he enjoyed his hobbies of golf, tennis and woodcrafting. He organized and directed the Franklin Dance Band in which he played trumpet. In recent years he returned to Michigan, living in Milford. He was 89 years old.
