Robert D. Matthias, 76, of Picket Lane, Quakertown, died Saturday in Quakertown Community Hospital. He was the husband of Clara (Snyder) Matthias. They were married 54 years in September.
He was a calibrator for the U.S. Gage Division of Ametek Inc., Sellersville, for 30 years before retiring in 1979.
Born in Richland Township, Bucks County, he was a son of the late George and Emma (Day) Matthias Sr.
Survivors: Wife; daughter Patricia, wife of William Stauffer of Gwynedd Valley, Montgomery County; sisters, Margaret Cressman and Beulah Grim, both of Quakertown, and two grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, 821 W. Broad St., Quakertown. Call 10-11 a.m. Wednesday.
