George E. Bagenstose, 92, formerly of Spring Township, died May 12 at 6:15 a.m. in Kutztown Manor Inc., where he had been a resident since Dec. 30, 2001.
His wife, Mildred M. (Lamm) Bagenstose, died Feb. 15, 2000.
Born in Tilden Township, he was a son of the late Franklin and Sallie (Kauffman) Bagenstose.
Bagenstose had been employed for many years in shipping and receiving by C.H. Briggs, Angelica, retiring in 1978.
He was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Tilden Township.
Bagenstose was a life member of Chandler Lodge 227, Free and Accepted Masons, and the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Reading, both of West Reading.
He is survived by a daughter, Carolyn M. (Bagenstose) Rumpf, Sebring, Fla.
Other survivors include three sisters: Elsie (Bagenstose) Daugherty, Fleetwood; Esther (Bagenstose) Kieffer, Bethel; and Ethel (Bagenstose) Loeb, Shoemakersville.
There are also five grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Lamm & Witman Funeral Home Inc., Wernersville. Burial will be in Hain's Church Cemetery, Lower Heidelberg Township.
