Clarence I. Kerschner, 95, of Perry Twp., died Friday, July 11, 2014 in Pinebrook Personal Care, Orwigsburg.
He was predeceased by his wife, Fern P. (Manmiller) Kerschner. Born in Maidencreek Twp., he was the son of the late James and Stella (Sterner) Kerschner.
Clarence was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He worked as a truck driver and welder for Empire Steel until his retirement. Clarence was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perry Twp. He enjoyed hunting.
Clarence is survived by one daughter, Joann M. (Kerschner), widow of Clarence R. Wesner, Mohrsville; two grandsons, Craig Wesner, and his companion, Jolyn Erickson; and Garry Wesner, and his wife, Nancy; two great-grandchildren, Richard and Holly Wesner; two step-great-grandchildren, Jack and Jake Erickson; and his companion, Ruth (Dreibelbis) Kerschner, Perry Twp.
Also surviving are two brothers, Paul Kerschner, Blandon; and Mahlon Kerschner, Stonersville; and four sisters: Fern Stricker, Blandon; Ruth Schappell and Dorothy Heckman, both of Windsor Twp.; and Verna Moser, Hyde Park.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Curtis Kerschner and Harvey Buck; and one sister, Edna Hoffert.
Services will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Union Cemetery, Fleetwood.
