David Bruce Stoudt, 61, Alsace Township, died Sept. 1, 2007, at 1:45 a.m. in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township, where he had been a patient since Friday.
He was married Jan. 15, 1966, to Linda L. (Schwoyer) Stoudt.
Born in West Reading on July 24, 1946, he was a son of the late Clarence E. and Beatrice L. (Dennison) Stoudt.
He was employed 21 years as a truck driver with AAA Trucking, Reading. David was later employed 12 years with Admixtures Inc., Wernersville, as a truck driver, last working Thursday.
He was a former shop steward with the Teamsters Local Union 429, Reading.
He was a graduate of Reading High School.
David was a member of Salem Shalter’s Lutheran Church, Alsace Township.
He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and NASCAR fan. David also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
David also is survived by two children, Michelle L. Stoudt, fiancée of Patrick J. Greer, both of State College; and Sean D., husband of Jennifer (Post) Stoudt, Ruscombmanor Township.
Other survivors include two siblings, Stanley L. Stoudt, Reading; and Tammy L. Stoudt, Birdsboro; and an uncle, Robert S. Stoudt, Centerport.
There also are grandchildren: Nicholas S. Stoudt, Alexis A. Greer and Ainsley A. Greer.
He is also survived by his four dogs: Rascal D. Dog, Zippy, Chippy and Angel.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, with the Rev. Lesley J. Hand officiating. Burial will be in Epler’s Church Cemetery, Bern Township. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services in the funeral home.
