Mrs. Martin Boughter
Lydia, widow of Martin Boughter, died of a complication of diseases,
aged 68 years, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Lizzie Jarett,
at Allenwood, Union County. Her home was in this city with her son
Samuel, 721 North Front, and she was visiting her daughter when taken
sick. Her husband was killed during the Civil War. Mrs. Boughter
was a member of the Lutheran denomination and had many
friends. These children remain: Mrs. Jarett, of Union County;
Samuel, Jacob, John, Sarah, wife of Jacob Munshower; Emma, wife of
Jacob Motz, and Mrs. Wilson Bowers; also two sisters, Mrs. Amelia
Gilbert of Oley and Mrs. Sarah Moyer of Rockland, and two brothers,
Hiram Wentz, of Montgomery County, and Jacob Wentz of Sinking
Spring. The remains will be brought to the home of her son, Samuel,
731 North Front, by Funeral Director Theo. C. Auman.
