Elwood M. Lamm, 86, Penn Township, formerly of Sinking Spring, died June 14 at 7:37 a.m. in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient one week.
His wife, Arlene R. (Thompson) Lamm, died July 20, 1988.
Born in Lower Heidelberg Township, he was a son of the late Earl F. and Carrie A. (Miller) Lamm.
Lamm was employed for 50 years as a salesman by the Merritt Lumber Yard, Reading, until his retirement.
He was a graduate of Reading High School and attended courses at Pennsylvania State University.
Lamm was a member of St. John's (Hain's) United Church of Christ, Lower Heidelberg Township.
He was one of the founders and a past officer of the Red Oak Hunting Club Lodge, Galeton, Potter County.
Lamm was a life member of the Liberty Fire Company, Sinking Spring, and the AAA Reading-Berks.
He was a past president of the Sinking Spring Lions Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Judith A. (Lamm) Goedeke, Penn Township, with whom he last resided, and Joyce A. (Lamm) Perella, Reading.
Other survivors include two brothers, E. Donald and Richard C., both of Wyomissing; and a sister, Arlene (Lam) Gross, Camp Hill, Cumberland County.
There are also five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. John's (Hain's) UCC. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township. Lamm & Witman Funeral Home Inc., Wernersville, is in charge of arrangements.
