| Apparently, originally called Smithson & Mayfields of Stepney Mills in 1866, by 1920 the mill was known as A.Mayfield & Sons. Alfred Mayfield was Mill Owner & Paper manufacturer. The mill was later taken over by his sons Alfred & Percy, & then finally by his grandson Edward Percy Mayfield who eventually sold the mill in the 1960s. |
