Isaac Wilhelm Spohn, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2009. Born in Stouchberg, Pa., on March 10, 1918, he was the son of Earl Spohn and Mabel Wilhelm Spohn. A resident of Boerne since 1966, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church as well as the Order of the Eastern Star, Boerne Chapter 200. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he was also a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, having retired from Kelly AFB after 32 years of service. Preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Elsie I. Spohn; second wife, Geraldine Spohn; daughter, Susan E. Spohn; and son-in-law, James W. Bohmfalk; Mr. Spohn is survived by his daughter, Rachel Bohmfalk; granddaughters, Sarah Tomlinson and husband, Russell, and Laura Bohmfalk; and great-granddaughter, Leah Tomlinson. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. today at Vaughans Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church, 205 E.
