Dwight M. Hostetler, 76, Altoona, died Tuesday at Bayview Center in Florida after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, son of Harry and Stella Margaret (Tantlinger) Hostetler.
Surviving are three sons: Larrie and wife, Cecelia, of Suwanee, Ga., Jerry and wife, Kerry, of New Philadelphia, Ohio, and John and wife, Molly, of Palm Harbor, Fla.; nine grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a son, Timothy D. "Hoss."
Dwight was a 1954 graduate of Johnstown High School. He retired as a pressman from the Altoona Mirror in 1997. He was a member of Jaggard United Methodist Church and also belonged to the Heidelberg Country Club. He enjoyed reading, collecting and spending time with his family.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park Cemetery (www.thegoodfuneralhomeinc.com), where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2012, by the Rev. Towanda Acey. Interment will follow at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
