Jon R. Hoppman Jon R. Hoppman, 71, of Robesonia, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Elsa M. (Master) Hoppman, with whom he would have shared 50 years of marriage on May 27th. Jon, a son of the late Daniel L. and Mary C. (Auman) Hoppman, Sr., was born in South Heidelberg Twp. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Melissa, wife of Jeff Menet; a brother, Daniel L. Hoppman, Sr.; a sister, Ruth Ann, wife of Paul C. Moyer; and four grandchildren, Emily, Lindsey, Katherine and Brandon Menet. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald J. Hoppman; and two sisters, E. Geraldine Gerhart; and Mary L. Dreibelbis. Jon was a US National Guard Veteran. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, having previously been a member of St. Paul?s UCC, where he was a past member of the consistory and was a past treasurer. He was a graduate of Conrad Weiser High School and attended Penn State University. He retired as owner and operator of Copy Systems, having previously worked for Crompton & Knowles. Jon was a devoted father and grandfather and attended all of his grandchildren?s sporting events. He enjoyed golfing and hunting and was a member of Lost Creek Rod & Gun, where he was a past president. He enjoyed spending time in Maine with family and friends. Services will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, Nov. 20th, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 108 S.Robeson St., Robesonia. Burial will be private for the family.
