Margaret G. Sweigert, 83, of Railroad Street, Landingville, died Wednesday evening at her residence.
Born in Landingville, Sept. 22, 1924, she was a daughter of the late L. Stanley Krammes and Minnie May Long Krammes.
Margaret was employed by the former Landingville Knitting Mill until retiring with more than 50 years of service.
She was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, Landingville.
Margaret was a life and founding member of Community Fire Company, Landingville, and a member of OES Chapter 424, Orwigsburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. ?Bill? Sweigert, in 1979; a daughter, Sharon Dullard, in 1976; a son, Robert S. Sweigert, in 2000; and a brother, Dale Krammes.
Surviving are a daughter, Jane Sweigert, Landingville; granddaughters, Jeaneene Sponenburg, Schuylkill Haven, Misty Marie Kane, Minersville, Erin and Kristen Sweigert, both of Schuylkill Haven; grandsons, Shanon Sponenburg, Albuquerque, N.M., and T.Sgt Edward Loren Sponen burg III, Jacksonville, Ariz.; a brother, Stanley ?Bud? Krammes, New Bloomfield; and nine great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday evening at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., 25 E. Main St., Schuylkill Haven. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Faith United Church of Christ, Church Street, Landingville, with Pastor James Fidler officiating. Interment will be in Park Hill Cemetery, Landingville.
