Alma Jane Oswald, 82, of Walnutport, died Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Phoebe Home. She was the wife of the late George R. Oswald who died September 6, 1997. Born in Ashland, PA on September 5, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Beulah (Zimmerman) Snyder. Alma was employed as a nurses aide at Sacred Heart Hospital for 23 years prior to retiring in April 1987. She was active in church where she was a former member of the choir and a member of the American Baptist Woman.
Survivors: Son, David Oswald of Walnutport. Alma was proceeded in death by Albert, her twin brother in July 2007 and Harold in July of 1995.
Services: Memorial Service at Slatington Baptist Church, Slatington, PA, at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2009.
Interment 1:30 p.m. Monday, Arlington Memorial Park
