Charlotte L. Schwartz, 80, formerly of Sellersville and Hatfield, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002 at Phoebe Richland Health Care Center in Richlandtown, where she had lived since 1999. Charlotte L. Schwartz, 80, formerly of Sellersville and Hatfield, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002 at Phoebe Richland Health Care Center in Richlandtown, where she had lived since 1999. She was the widow of Marlin E. Schwartz, who died in 1988.
Born in Center Point, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Johnson) Unruh. She graduated from the former Lansdale High School.
Mrs. Schwartz was a machine operator for the former Jacque DeLoux Knitting Mill of Sellersville for 16 years. Following that, she was an Avon Cosmetics representative for 20 years.
A born-again Christian since age 17, she was a longtime member of Faith Baptist Church in Sellersville, where she had been active in the shut-in ministry.
She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Steich of Telford and Joan Schwartz of Allentown; two sons, Philip Schwartz and his wife, Arlene, of Lewistown and Edward Schwartz and his wife, Carol, of Nazareth; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Walter Unruh Jr. and his wife, Carolyn, of Sellersville; and a sister, Dorothy Ruth of North Carolina.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Unruh; and a sister, Mary Van Fossen.
Viewing time will be Thursday, Feb. 14 from 10 to 11 A.M. at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home, 130 E. Broad St., (Route 113) Souderton. The funeral service will follow at 11 A.M. Interment will be in Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick.
