Bonnie L. McAllister, 67, of Shoemakersville, passed away peacefully Monday, November 12, 2018, at home. She was the wife of Elaine J. Wenrich, with whom she shared four years of marriage on Sept. 5th. Bonnie, a daughter of the late Lindy J. and Elaine V. (Dillon) McAllister, was born in Philadelphia.
In addition to her wife, she is survived by three children: Tina M. McAllister, Leesport; Jamie L., wife of Timothy Shapiro, Reading; and Chad A. Roeder, Birdsboro; a brother, Kerry D. McAllister, husband of Belinda, Delaware; two sisters, Lani L., wife of Rick Freymoyer, Shoemakersville, and Kim S., wife of Gary Kehs, Mohrsville; five grandchildren: Shawn, Jr., Kylie, Timmy, Jessica and Douglas Jr.; and a great-grandson, Phoenix.
She was a 1969 graduate of Wilson Senior High School and retired in 2012 from the Reading School District, having worked at 16th and Haak Elementary.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, Nov. 16th, at Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, 243 W. Penn Ave., Wernersville. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading.
