Ralph F. Kauffman, "Oscar", 79, of Shartlesville, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022 in Penn State Health St. Joseph. Born in Tilden Twp., he was the son of the late Floyd H. and Dorothy W. (Potteiger) Kauffman. Ralph was a graduate of Hamburg High School. He worked for Beryllium, Bachman, Lawrey Company, Degler Chevrolet, Hamburg Broom Works, and last for Green Acres Golf Course. Ralph was a member of the Shartlesville Fire Company. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, and watching movies and Westerns on TV. Ralph was a fan and season ticket holder of Penn State football. He was also a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He had attended a Super Bowl, Cotton Bowl and Sugar Bowl. Ralph is survived by his sister: Gloria M. (Kauffman) Phillips, widow of Leo Phillips, Shartlesville; nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers: Sterling C. Kauffman and Harold C. Kauffman. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Twp.
