Larry H. Haas, 80, of Kenhorst passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023, in Memory Care at Heritage of Green Hills. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Mildred E. (Wahl) and Harold F. Haas. He was the loving husband of Jeannette (Niedrowski) Haas, together they shared 53 years of marriage. He worked as a steel worker for Steel Co. for over 50 years. Larry enjoyed archery, boating, fishing, and riding motorcycles. He also liked going on fishing trips with his friends to Canada. Larry was an avid 4-wheel racer and would travel to all the different states. The night before a race Larry and his wife, Jeannette, would walk the track which was about 8 to 10 miles. He won Super Senior for racing and his prize was a trip to Disney.
In addition to his wife, Jeannette, Larry is survived by his brothers, Kerry F. Haas, husband of Patricia of Stevens, Jan M. Haas, husband of Lisa of Newtown. Also surviving is his brother-in-law, Dean Niedrowski, husband of Sue of Mohnton, his nieces, Melissa and Kate, nephews, Philip, Michael, Jeffrey, Keith, and Dennis, and many great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at 10:00am in Bean Funeral Homes, 3825 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring, PA 19608. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, from 9:00am to 10:00am. Entombment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum.
