Dawson R. Miller, 65, widely known auto salesman, died at his home, 490 North Sixth Street, early this morning. He had been ill for about a year and death was caused by complications. Miller, prior to his illness, was employed by Wayne Sholley, car dealer, for 19 years. He also was well known throughout the city and county for his sports enthusiasm and was an active outdoorsman, especially interested in fishing and hunting. Prior to working for Sholley, he established a reputation as being an excellent salesman when he worked for the now defunct Miller Organ Manufacturing Company. He also was employed as a salesman for Kirk Johnson and Perry Reifsnyder, piano retailers. Miller was born in Lebanon the son of the late Henry and Sarah (Runkle) Miller. He was a member of the Seventh Street Lutheran Church and is survived by the following: His widow, Jennie (Frantz) Miller; three sons: John H., of Lebanon; Dawson F., Reading, and Robert J., Womelsdorf; two daughters: Ruth E., wife of Harry Gipe, Lebanon, and Grace L., wife of Earl Yeakley, of Myerstown. In addition he is survived by five grandchildren; one brother, John H., of Baltimore, Md., and a sister, Miss Barbara Miller, of Lebanon.
