In East Coventry, on the 20th instant, JOHN BEERBOWER, in his 80th year. Mr. Beerbower was born in Pikeland township, Chester county, in 1779, and resided within five miles of his birth place during his whole life.- During the war of 1812, he served his country as captain of a company of volunteers, and was encamped some time at Marcus Hook. He was of a robust constitution and enjoyed almost uninterrupted good health until within a short period of his death. His memory was remarkably good, and he loved to dwell upon scenes of the past.- He remembered the upper part of Chester county when it was almost a wilderness, and often contrasted it with the present time when it presents the appearance of a continuous village.- His remains were followed to their last resting place by a large circle of relatives and friends.
