Marlene Y. Stoyer, 70, of Nichols Street, Leesport, died of natural causes Oct. 9 in Berks Heim, where she had resided two weeks.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of Mary R. (Kramer) Balthaser, Leesport, and the late Charles J. Balthaser.
Stoyer was employed as a sewing machine operator by Crown Knitting Mill, Mohrsville, and was last employed for 20 years as a nursing assistant by Berks Heim, retiring in 1997.
She was a member of Epler's United Church of Christ, Bern Township.
Stoyer is also survived by a son, Michael C. Fritz, St. Lawrence; two grandchildren and a great-grandson.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Vicki L. Fritz, in 2000.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in John P. Feeney Funeral Home Inc. Burial will be in Epler's Cemetery, Bern Township.
