- A mistake here. both the 1900 and 1910 census state that Catharine was mother to 10 children; two died before the 1900 census. death certs and census records seem to confirm all 9 children listed below without a pre-1900 death date belong to Richard & Catharine.
Per his obit, Richard is survived by Mamie, w/ George Bower; Blanche, w/ Elias Sassaman; Edgar; Allen; Robert; Edwin; Earl; Jay. Edna, not listed in the obit, is included as a daughter in the 1900 census and names Richard Fidler & Catharine Wagner as parents on her death cert.
