ALBERT S. STUMP
Albert S. Stump, aged 60 years, died at his home, 60 East Pottsville Street, Pine Grove, last Sunday morning between 2 and 3 o'clock. Death was due to complications.
Surviving are the widow, nee Ellen Kantner, two sons, Lester and Edwin Stump, all of Pine Grove; also three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Five brothers and two sisters: Charles, Horace, Robert, Elwyn and Wilson Stump; Mary, wife of George Reed, all of the Pine Grove area, also survive.
The Stump family is identified with the Reformed denomination.
Mr. Stump was a miner for many years and employed at the old Lincoln colliery and later with the Pine Grove Tanning Company. For many years he was troubled with miners' asthma and later had a severe attack of pneumonia, resulting in a weakened condition from which he never fully recovered.
The funeral took place from the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Services were conducted by the Rev. H. C. Correll of St. Peter's Reformed Church. Interment was made in the Pine Grove St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. The pallbearers were: Wilson Stump, James Hall, Harry Kantner, Charles Kantner, Charles and Harris Stump.
