Vicki L. Schiffner, 57, of Marysville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 24, 2011.
Vicki was born October 15, 1953 in Harrisburg, PA.
A graduate of East Pennsboro Area High School. Vicki had recently retired from Kidz Quarterz Child Care Center after 15 years of dedicated service.
Vicki had a passion for children. Miss Bicky, as she was fondly known, was a caring, loving dedicated teacher that touched the lives of the many children she cared for each day. She developed lasting friendships with the parents and staff she worked with and to many she was considered family.
Vicki had a huge heart. She would do anything she could to help out friends or family in need. Her greatest past time was spending time with her beloved grandson, Johnny.
She volunteered at EPYAL in Enola, enjoyed camping, spending time at the beach, crafting, her cats, and spending time with family and friends.
Vicki is survived by her parents, William and Nancy Potteiger, her husband, Fred Schiffner, her three children, Melissa, wife of John Smart, William Grimm, and Alison Grimm. Her siblings, William Potteiger III, and David Potteiger (Christine), and her grandson, Johnny Smart.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 28th in Glenvale Church of God, 1970 New Valley Road, Marysville, PA at 11:00 am with services to follow.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to The Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, PA 17711.
