John W. Bachman, 75, of Maidencreek Twp., passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 in his residence. He was the husband of Linda M. (Reinsel) Bachman. They were married on September 20, 1975 and celebrated forty-six years of marriage. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Willard and Rosemary (Fisher) Bachman. John was a 1966 graduate of Conrad Weiser High School. He also graduated from Berks Technical Institute. John was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked for Sealed Air, Tuckerton, for thirty-eight years retiring July 15, 2011. John was also a massage therapist. He was a member of Epler?s Church, Bern Twp. John drove bus for Bieber Tourways, driving at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah. He ran with the Exeter ambulance for many years. John participated in the 1988 Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 131 Berks Last Patrol Walking Home Memorial from Washington, D.C. to Reading City Park. He enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, traveling - Hawaii was his favorite destination, 4-wheeling with the Bushwackers, and canoeing. Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughters: Joy L. (Bachman) Brown-Walb, wife of Rich Walb, Wyomissing; and Amber M. Bachman, Cherry Hill, New Jersey; three grandchildren: Brandi, Emily, Benjamin; and three great-grandchildren: Sophia, Isabella, and Olivia Rose. John was predeceased by a sister: Annalee (Bachman) Morris. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. A visitation with the family will be held in the funeral home Saturday 10:00 to 11:00 am.
