Melba M. (Geiger) Faust, 78, a former resident of the Saucony Cross Apartments, Kutztown, died Saturday, March 15, 2014 in The Lutheran Home at Topton, where she was a resident for over two years.
She was the widow of Kenneth M. Faust, who died May 25, 1980. Born in Maxatawny Township, she was a daughter of the late Spencer E. and Anna Marie (Henderson) Geiger.
Mrs. Faust was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Zion's Union Church, Maxatawny.
She was a 1953 graduate of Kutztown Area High School. Mrs. Faust was employed as a bindery operator at Day-Timer, Inc., Lower Macungie Township, for 15 years, retiring in 1999.
She was a member of the Kutztown and Lyons Fire Company's Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughter, Tina M. (Faust) Arndt, widow of Robert V. Arndt and companion of Richard L. Mack, Topton; sisters, Janet E. Geiger, Topton; Jean A. (Geiger), wife of Richard F. Harter and Linda H. (Geiger), widow of Dallas C. Henninger, both of Kempton. There are also two grandchildren: Jesse R. Arndt and Matthew L. Mack; and two great-grandchildren: Courtney and Brent Arndt.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with Reverend Herbert H. Michel officiating. Interment will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
