Lovell R. Barlet, age 80, of Walnuttown, passed away on June 4, 2015, in the Reading Hospital Medical Center.
He was the husband of the late Pauline M. (Delong) Barlet, who passed on March 9, 2011. Born on January 1, 1935, in Walnuttown, he was the son of the late Harvey Barlet and Florence (Rothermel) Barlet.
Lovell had worked for Mack Truck in Allentown for over 20 years, retiring in 1990.
In retirement, he worked ten years as a van driver for Kutztown Area School District. He also had worked at Vic's Mower and Lawn Service in Walnuttown.
Lovell and his wife had been the owners of Pauline's Tropical Fish in Walnuttown for ten years, closing the business in 1995.
He was a member of Pike Township Sportsman Club.
Lovell was an outdoorsman and loved gardening, when he was younger, every spring he planted a large vegetable garden.
Survived by his step-daughter, Michele L. (Youse), wife of Douglas Bostdorf, of Middletown, Pa.; step-son, George A. Youse, husband of Patricia Youse, of Allentown; and step-daughter, Tina L. (Youse) Gross of Hershey, Pa. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Tuesday morning 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. followed by funeral services at 12:30 p.m. from the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. Burial will be in St. Paul's Union Cemetery.
