ST. LOUIS -- Marlet J. Ort, 71, of St. Louis, formerly of New Cumberland, Pa., died Friday in Harrisburg Hospital.
He retired as a tool and die maker from Independent Die & Supply Co., St. Louis; was a pasteurizer for the former Parthemore Dairy, New Cumberland; an Army veteran of World War II; and a member of Salem Lutheran Church and Model T Ford Club, both of St. Louis, New Cumberland VFW and the International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Rickerman Ort; five daughters, Marlene Fogle of Etters, Pa., Sue Donson of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Marie Yates and Debbie Sable, both of California, and Penny Ort of Churchtown, Pa.; a sister, Doris Pitaccio of Camp Hill; two brothers, James of Camp Hill, Pa., and Alistair of California; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the family's convenience.
Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland, is handling arrangements.
